I'm mynameisblueskye, a genre agnostic singer-songwriting aspie from Dorchester, MA. I'm a poet, a music blogger, a keyboardist, a producer/beatmaker, director, and a singer. The best genres I can drag out are antifolk, soul and bedroom pop, all within the experimental/psychedelic vein and using synth/keyboard settings. The reason I started making music wasn't just because I have always liked the idea of being a performer, but because I really don't see as much artists with Asperger's Syndrome in the entertainment industry, especially if they are of color.
"New Blog Entry" is a prologue to what I had set up to be my 100 Songs project. For that project, I write ten albums as mynameisblueskye with ten songs (with lyrics) each in a Stenobook of 100 pages, some if not most of the project dedicated to letting you into a world of people with Asperger's Syndrome. And the song is basically a track about how trying to open a project right can be...daunting, especially if you are haunted by this need for perfectionism.
The albums will be found on
blueskye.bandcamp.com, along other old projects. You can find news about it and my ramblings about audioblerd life on twitter or instagram, both of which the handle is tokenblackaspie.
